We named these bohochic long necklaces Birungi which means pretty in Luganda (a local language in Uganda).
These long single strand necklaces split into three separate strands at about half its length. They have a mix of bead types and a muted and interesting color combinations. You can select from two color combinations and either will make a gorgeous statement.
The beads at the neck line are flat and made from recycled magazine and book pages. These flat beads have a few bits of text which adds visual interest. At the end of those text beads is a much larger bicone bead in a dusty rose color followed by larger seed beads in a dark burgundy color and gold tone color and then smaller paper beads in rose and cream. The last and front section of the necklace has the same flat beads with text (as in the neckline) either in cream or a dusty rose pink. These are pretty, unique and visually very interesting and will likely spark a conversation.
The length of these necklaces are just about 18 inches.
There is no clasp on these necklaces.
Select cream or rose color.
These are a signature necklace with a bohemian flair.
These beads are handmade by Grace and her team of women artisans in the slums of Kampala, Uganda. No two necklaces are exactly alike.
